Maybe just maybe (fingers crossed), but apparently Yahoo has just fixed wrong adjustments mentioned here:
http://www.amibroker.com/kb/2017/06/30/wrong-close-price-in-yahoo-data/

The link that contained wrong data:
https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/IP/history?period1=804549600&period2=807055200&interval=1d&filter=history&frequency=1d

now contains correct data.

Also downloaded data appears normal now and adjusted close is within adjusted high and adjusted low:

$NAME IP

There is still one problem with the data: the column headers for Close and Adj Close are swapped. AmiQuote does NOT use those headers (it uses own aqh.format definition file) so it is not a problem for AmiQuote,
but users downloading data manually are confused:

and Yahoo announced that they are “working on it” so it may mean that they will change their web site yet again and as we have learned when they fix one thing they may break two other things so please be alert.

As things stand now, “Adj Close” column and Open, High, Low columns seem to be adjusted for splits only. “Close” column seems to be adjusted for splits AND dividends.

Hi Tomasz and profs,

For some strange reason, after I upgrade to AQ 3.21, stooq download ceased to work. Tiickers previous worked ( downloaded full data history) in 3.20 no longer get any data.
Error messages were either “no such data” or " server cannot be resolved".

I wonder if anyone experience similar problem.

Thanks for answering,
jimmy

V3.21 works perfectly with Stooq. Check your antivirus and/or firewall as the messages you get indicate external problem (like connectivity / firewall / antivirus messing things up).

#8

Thank you Tomasz.
Stooq works but the daily download limit is indeed very limited which impair the usefulness of this site.

Best regards
jimmy

If you were site owner you would put the limits as well because otherwise people would bring down any server on its knees. It is way better to have working “limited” site than non-working “unlimited” site.

My first post here.

I installed AmiQuote v 3.21 on my laptop yesterday. But when trying to download new quotes from Yahoo there is no ticker showing up in Amibroker Symbols list, and no charts is showing up. It looks like AmiQuote is downloading data but nothing is visible.

I also installed AmiQuote v 3.21 on my deskptop computer a few weeks ago and there everything works perfect.
I don’t understand why EOD data from Yahoo is not working on my laptop computer.

Both my computers have Amibroker 5.90 and Windows 10 v 1703.

Anyone that can help me solve this problem?

Regards
Joeoil
