Adjusted Close Revisited

I have modified the .aqh format file to have the adjusted close column per the knowledge base. With that added, I understand that it adjusts internally the O,H,L and close once it sees the adjusted close in the format file. I assume it does this for both Yahoo and Tingo. My question is without maintaining 2 databases can one load adjusted data for backtesting (which is what I currently do), but then use different AFL code to load split adjusted but not dividend adjusted data for chart pattern work - without having 2 different databases? I think there is a benefit for having both dividend adjusted and non-divided adjusted data for evaluation.
I saw this mentioned in a 2019 post but never really addressed specifically that I could find. Thanks.
