I found Norgate s/w very good and will subscribe for US data.
JustData's Bodhi 5 is not very good; but I am stuck with it for London data. No better option yet for London data.
If anyone using JustData's Bodhi, need a little help.
It downloads all symbols in one directory and have no dynamic list for FTSE100. And from documentation it seems I have to create a "tic" list and maintain it myself. That means I need to be able to download tickers list from London Stock exchange and keep maintaining perhaps once a month.
Have you been able to get a dynamic list from Bodhi? or any other alternative?
The only other data provider I'm aware (aside from using LSEG which isn't realistic for retail) is EODHD. This is what I'm currently evaluating and it's well priced and contains delisted tickers. You will still have to maintain any indexes though.
What's the data quality like for JustData for FTSE shares? I find EODHD data to be generally good but it's not perfect, just trying to gauge whether this is normal or not.
I checked data correctness for JustData FTSE100 for last 3 days and it's accurate. I also figured out that using JustData's groups (they call index dynamic lists as groups) is not reliable. When I used FTSE100, SP500 groups to download data, it downloaded 73 stocks for FTSE100 and 376 for SP500. I asked their support email this question and got the answer that these groups are not up to date. So that's bummer. But if I use my own tick list then it provides a way to download any symbols from a list maintained as a file. Since FTSE constituents change only once a quarter, I am fine by that. For now I have decided that I am going with Norgate for US and JustData for FTSE100. I just don't get the whole API concept of EODHD.
