I have tick data from IQFeed, but have gaps in some of the data. I tried back filling it but the gaps in the beginning of the data are still there. Does back filling not get to this data or am I misunderstanding something?

It is NOT known what plugin version you are using and what program version you are using.
Also it is not known what are your database settings, etc. Please follow this advice: How to ask a good question
There were updates to IQFeed plugin that you might have missed IQFeed, CME and TickID - #85 by Tomasz
Backfills can only fix holes if data are available at the source. The data retention in IQFeed is limited and depends on interval. You won't be able to fill holes in tick data that happened one year ago for example.

I'm using 6.0.7 plugin for DTN Iqfeed. Amibroker version 6.40.4 64 bit.
