Chart drawings disappear

Hi everyone,

when I draw on a chart for a particular symbol, the next time I log into Amibroker and look at that symbol the chart drawings are gone.

How can I save drawings on a chart for a particular symbol.

I have not been able to find info about this in the user guide, can anyone please point out where it is?

When you click Amibroker Help-About
Does it show Amibroker Registered to ..... ?

Drawings are saved automatically in registered version. Unregistered program does not save. You need to check:

  • if database folder and all files inside are writable (not read-only)
  • if Help->About shows "registered to ... your name"

Tomasz, does that mean that regardless of which chart template I display a symbol on, it will load any drawing I have done on it, such as support and resistance lines?

Drawings are linked to Chart ID. If two templates share same chart ID then same drawings would show up on both. It is explained in the Knowledge Base:

Hi Tomasz,

I read the article you posted. thanks, however the problem still remains.

I am trying to view a chart that has drawings from two amibroker setups, one on my laptop, the other my tablet.

Both are referencing the same chart path and same chart id, but drawings won't appear on my tablet. they do appear on the laptop.

As a test I've tried creating a new chart with drawings on the laptop, saved the chart files and chart template on google drive and then opening it up from the tablet version of amibroker, but the drawings still don't show up.

any ideas ?
