I tried Ctrl+A -> Ctrl+C the data but what I get is a png image when I Ctrl+V in excel.
Menu Edit > Copy will also produce png instead of the data itself.
Is there another way to transfer the data to excel or csv?

You can create exploration (in the Analysis window) that shows the data you want and copy from there. Ctrl+C would copy the active chart (or Analysis window content if that is active window), not RT quote window.
