How do I activate the "status bar performance indicator"?

I am reading about the "status bar performance indicator" here:

It is supposed to appear in the right lower corner on the status bar.

I checked all the Preferences, I could not locate any such option.

You work offline, so in your case it shows free virtual memory:

When you switch to plugin, you will see the percentage load factor indicator.
