can not access from File/New/Web Research.

System can not find page. When I go to directly from browser, it works fine.

Works for me.

If you are having problems you can do the following:

  1. Open RegEdit (registry editor)

  2. Locate/create this key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION

  3. Create DWORD value with name Broker.exe and value: 11001 (decimal)

This instructs the OS to use IE11/HTML5 engine instead of some older one.

normally use, but did not see one.

Is Amibroker compatible with Internet Explorer only for this application?


It does not matter if you are using 3rd party browser like Chrome/Firefox/Safari/whatever for your everyday web activity.

Internet Explorer is actually a part of operating system. Many programs (like AmiBroker and AmiQuote) use OS components installed with Internet Explorer to access internet. And only IE installed version matters and only IE settings matter and only IE registry keys are relevant.
