Interactive Broker change in Symbol Name

IB decided that from today the name of the exchange where Stoxx is listed is EUREX and not DTB as it was until Friday. Therefore in Amibroker the symbol changed.

As a consequence:

  1. the new contract is limited by backfill limitations imposed by IB, which prevents you from backfilling before a certain date
  2. if you have annotations on the previous chart they are not visible on the new one.

This is similar to the issues caused by IB not allowing to export continous futures data.

I am not aware if there is any Amibroker workaround.

I can't get Stoxx or DAX to work at all anymore... these should work, but they don't:
FDXS SEP 22-EUREX-FUT-EUR
FSXE SEP 22-EUREX-FUT-EUR

What symbols are you using?

work for me, after chaning DTB for EUREX this am

Got it working. I also had a market data permission issue that I worked out. Thanks for your quick response!

You can simply change the symbol using Symbol Information window. Chart Annotations made earlier will be preserved this way.

Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant! Thanks so much. Presumably this would not work for futures as there are overlapping periods when both contracts trade.
