Hi All,

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is James and I have been using Amibroker for about 5 months now and I am absolutely loving it (happy days!). I have yet to post to the forum since I have been able to find resources and answers to all my issues either here or in the Knowledge Base pages. But I just wanted to say hi and thank you. I hope to participate as my experience and knowledge grows.

My main goal with Amibroker is to develop and implement basic robust trading strategies since I believe simple is best....might not always give the smoothest equity curves but over the long-term gives positive expectancy. So far with Amibroker, Norgate Data, Howard Bandy books, and hours of listening to Better System Trader I am making some great progress, always being mindful of curve fitting and future information leak. Finally, I am getting ready to launch a fairly simple trend following system starting July 1 which has been completely developed with Amibroker and the associated resources. Not looking for a home run here but just to gain the experience of trading a system live.

Anyways looking forward to years of spending many hours here with you all.

Hi Everyone,

I want to express to the community how grateful I am for this forum. I have been using Amibroker for almost 2 years now and it has been a most rewarding experience. I have not been active in posting to the forum but I have benefited countless times from reading the many posts and the Knowledge Base articles.

I have been running 3 systems since July 1, 2019; all developed and maintained with Amibroker and Norgate Data. All 3 have been performing within acceptable parameters. I am getting ready to launch my fourth system on January 1st which will be my most complex strategy to date involving the use of an API to allow trade execution between Amibroker and Interactive Brokers.

Again, thank you!! Many of you have helped me go from a consistently losing discretionary trader to a consistently profitable systematic trader (I still have losing streaks, i.e. end of February 2020 before my systems moved to cash).
