Intraday Settings Suggestions

I trade both equities and cryptocurrencies. I keep both in the same database. Is there anything I can do in the intraday settings that would allow for the cryptocurrencies to show candles reflecting the 24/7 trading? Current settings, I am seeing gaps ups/downs where there aren't in actuality for crypto. At the same time I don't want to misconfigure an equity daily candle in the process. I might add that I use Tiingo EOD to update equities and I use Yahoo EOD for cryptocurrencies (I havent yet been able to find an acceptable data provider for Coinbase data).
