Looking for a server to speed up AmiBroker scan (500 symbols)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using:

1. PC: Dell OptiPlex 7010 Tower Plus with Intel i7-13700K, DDR5‑4400MHz RAM, scanning 500 symbols in 0.28 sec using AmiBroker.
   2.Server**: Dell Power Edge R720 (2X Intel Xeon E5-2650v2, 16 threads, 64 GB RAM), scanning the same workload in 1.23 sec.

I’d like to upgrade to a more suitable server that can match or beat my PC’s scan speed while handling multiple scanning in the same time

My questions:

1. Which server-grade CPU families offer the best single-thread and multi-thread performance for AmiBroker scans?
2. Can anyone suggest a specific server model that performs well in the 0.2–0.5 sec range for 500 symbols?
3. Any tips on server optimisation (RAM, NVMe, OS tweaks) to maximise AmiBroker scan speeds?

I’ve read the performance section and multi-threading guide on the AmiBroker website, but would appreciate real-world experience from users deploying it on servers

Scan is super simple operation. Its speed is NOT limited by CPU, RAM or whatever else, but mainly by DATA ACCESS. Depending on DATA SOURCE that you are using (but you did not mention) the limiting factor is more or less the DATA SOURCE.

It is crucial to always say what data source you are using.

Generally your post is MISSING all the information required to give you an answer.

Missing:
