Newbie Q: option ticker with interactive brokers

Hi, sorry for a newbie question. I tried hard but could not find an answer.

I currently have a nice chart setting with one click order transactions with interactive brokers. Of course, if I type a new stock ticker the chart shows its values and I would like to do the same for an option.

The issues is no matter what option format I try I could not get the chart for that option. I guess I do not know the right format for the ticker.

For example, IB says the option symbol is QQQ 250718C00530000, so I tried that symbol or with “-CBOE-OPT”, “-SMART-OPT” attached, or any other combination or even conID. But none of them generated a simple chart I want.

Could anyone help me to the right ticker to use? Thanks!!

@ggoomm this worked for me:

QQQ 250718C00530000-SMART-OPT-USD

in this example 3 spaces after the symbol

MSFT  250718C00475000-SMART-OPT-USD

in this case 2 spaces so I assume the rule is a max 6 chars (padded with spaces) for the symbol
