Parameter Sections - Can they be "Minimised" by Default

Hello

Could someone please tell me if it is possible to make the Section Headings in the parameters window open up “Minimised”. If I currently open up the parameters window I have quite a few Section Headings. It would be great if some of those sections would remain minimised since I don’t need to access some of them that often. I can minimise them manually but if i close the window and reopen it they are all open again. Is there a way to default some of them so that they stay closed?

Thanks

Ozzie

They are minimized during drag and drop operation, but if you open the explicitly using right click -> Parameters they all appear so people don’t ask “where are parameters” or “I can’t see (+)”.

But… maybe just maybe I will add such option in the future. Just wondering where to place it so people don’t click on it “accidentally” as they do with “automatic import” box in AmiQuote that although checked by default, gets “accidentally” unmarked so often.

A reset button for each indicator parameters would be useful also, currently one can only “Reset All” indicator parameters at once.

Functionality exists already How to - Reset single parameter

This I did not knew, thanks. I guess since Amibroker is quite complex people tend to focus on important things when using it and such miss some insignificant paragraphs when reading the help menu, apologies.

I would like to see this feature.

Why not simply make the state of each pane persistent when the window is closed and opened? The reset button could expand all panes.

It would also be nice if the parameter window position on the screen was persistent.

Oh… sure “simply”.
There are 10+ reasons why it is bad idea, but I have really no time nor energy to explain.
I tried many times on YahooGroups it never worked. There are things that you simply won’t ever understand.

For what it is worth - in version 6.23 there will be an option to Collapse Parameter Sections in the Preferences. Turning this on will fold all sections by default.
NOT good idea for newbies because they wont see controls and start panicking.
