Running Amibroker on MacBook Air M4 (Windows 11 ARM via Parallels)

Hi all,

I'm planning to switch to a MacBook Air M4 (16GB/512GB). I noticed that most discussions on the Mac M-series chips in this forum are a bit outdated.

I'm wondering if it's possible to run the 64-bit version of Amibroker on Windows 11 ARM using Parallels without any issues. I work with three different databases—two local ones (each around 10–20 GB) and a real-time data feed.

For those who have experience emulating x86/x64 on ARM, do you encounter any lag or delay, especially with RT data?

Also for users running Amibroker on a Mac, what challenges have you faced?

This is most current and relevant info regarding running AmiBroker with Parallels:

Good news on our test system here since we last tested in Oct 2021 when it was failing. As of 24 Jan 2022, AmiBroker and its OLE capabilities are now working. How to Install AmiBroker on macOS using Wine (even on M1/M2/M3)

After a month using AmiBroker on Wine and Parallels, I can confirm that using it in Wine is pretty comfortable but the speed is clearly different. Maybe the test is not as realistic because in Wine I've installed the x86 version while on Parallels I have the 64 bit one. Same on a real PC where I have the 64 bit version installed.
