Setting AmiBroker up for the ASX market

Hi,

I'm living in Australia and have just installed AmiBroker. Given that AB is set up for the US markets, I was wondering if is possible to set it up for the Australian (ASX) market, so that the groups and sectors will be correct for my local market. Any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks for that, I did see that and I have imported before using the ASCII Import Wizard as well as using AmiQuote.

My question was how to set up AmiBroker so it uses the sectors and industries for the Australian Market. I presume that there must be some way of doing it or are the sectors etc only relevant for the US markets?

You need to find a data source that assigns the individual stock codes into sectors and industries etc.

One of the best options in Australia is www.Norgatedata.com which is a paid service but certainly worth it.

Another plus for Norgate data.
Nothing else comes close, and one decent trade should cover the annual cost.
