It would be a lot more elegant when a symbol is changed, the associated note file name is also changed.

Good point. This has been apparently overlooked. Fixed now in 6.40.1 (to be released).

Be aware that with symbols from multiple markets that you must not have any symbol overlap, since Notes are Global (not database specific).
I'm also hoping for an ADK symbol rename capabilitiy too, which would trigger this note rename as well.
