As the Quote Editor guides says, To add new quote:
select (new) entry
enter date/time
enter price data
click on the list on the entry other than (new)
I've created a new database named 'MyNewData',
then add a new symbol named 'AAA',
then I tried to add first quote to this new symbol,
so I choosed Symbol -> Quote Editor,
select (new) entry
enter date/time, enter price data
click on the list on the entry other than (new)
Finally, I cannot see any new entry appeared?!
If inserting data for initial timestamp then hit Enter key after being finished. Then re-open quote editor again (as aside you can also create short cut for opening quote editor). That one works for sure.
For all subsequent timestamps you do not need to hit Enter (if wanting to manually add multiple timestamps one after another) but just clicking on editor column field after being finished per timestamp.
I think this short animation should clear things up.

First quote need [Enter] then re-open the Quote Editor (some strange),
but this is a feasible way to complete the very first quote,
hope don't need to re-open the Quote Editor for enter the very first quote.
