Updating Contract Specification Information programmatically

Hi there,
I was wondering if there is a way to update the Contract Specification details ( Round Lot Size, Margin Deposit, Tick Size and Point Value) from script and save the database. I know how to get the details in afl and set them up in order to override the UI settings but I would like to update the symbols Information and save the database so I don't have to repeat the same code in every afl strategy.
