Web Research - Fear and Greed Index

Good morning,
I have followed the steps indicated in the user guide to add a website but what I see on the original website and what I see in AmiBroker's Web Research do not match.
I'm trying to be able to view the Fear and Greed Index in an Ami window.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you so much

The web site is apparently using some most modern HTML5 which old IE engine is not compatible with.
You would need to use new Chromium based web view in 6.90.

To use new web browser engine within AmiBroker you have to use 64-bit AmiBroker and do the following:

  1. Download x64 WebView2 component from Microsoft
    WebView2 - Microsoft Edge Developer
(this step may not be needed if you have all Windows 10/11 updates installed)
  2. In AmiBroker go to Tools->Preferences, "Miscellaneous" tab and turn ON the option "Use Chromium/Edge (WebView2) for Web Research"
  3. Restart AmiBroker

From now you can use File->New->Web Research and it will use modern Chromium engine. Please note that Chromium is much heavier component than old IE. Chromium "by design" is using multi-process architecture . I don't like it but this is the way modern browsers are built (read: bloatware). Anyway regardless of what modern browser you use, it will anyway open multiple processes. For the record, old IE engine did not use any extra processes.

Thank you very much for the help and detailed explanations.

However, I can't find that option in Tools->Preferences, "Miscellaneous" tab.
What could be happening?

Sorry, I realized that for this I need version 6.43.1. I'm going to update it. Thank you so much

Perfect Dr. Tomasz, Thank you very much.
AmiBroker is amazing!

One question please, if I save the template (and also the layout) of the previous image, after closing and opening AmiBroker, it does not keep the Web Research window.
Is this normal and should I open Web Research again every time? Thank you so much

Chart Templates and Layouts store chart windows only. They don't store Analysis, Portfolio, Web Research.

Intended use of layouts is to be able to SWITCH between chart layouts quickly without affecting open Analysis, Web Research and Portfolio tabs, as these windows are independent from charts and are meant to be kept unchanged while switching chart layout.

Thank you very much Dr. Tomasz,
So I understand that those windows (analysis, portfolios and web research) once you close Amibroker they disappear and cannot be kept for when you reopen the platform.

No, the same way as MS Word does not keep all .DOC open and MS Excel does not keep your Excel sheets open when you close and re-open the app.

Please note that when you click say "New Analysis" (one click) it re-opens with most recently used formula selected and most recently settings used automatically selected, so it is not big deal to return to the work you have done before.
