Where is "Pick" selector tool?

I'm trying to use commentary and dynamic update. It works fine when I place the cursor on the chart and press "Apply".

But, I would like it to update automatically when moving cursor. For example, place the cursor on the chart and then use arrow keys on my keyboard to move cursor. Commentary window should then update.

Is this possible?

I found this in Help files (6.30 User's Guide), Commentary window, it says:
"Now the Guru chart commentary window is automatically updated and sychronized with the date selected on the chart using "Pick" selector tool. This way you can easily read any indicator value on any selected date right off the chart commentary window."

Maybe that's what I'm looking for. Where can I find "Pick" selector tool?

I am not 100% sure that I understand your question completely but maybe this will help. I am not sure about the Guru Window but I would imagine it works similar to the interpretation window since they are similar in how they derive the information. In regard what you are calling the "pick" selector tool, I think what you are talking about is the "select tool" in the Study Drawing Tools. You will notice that if you select that and then click on a candle (or along the x axis coordinating with your timeframe), a blue line will identify that coordinate indicating that particular selection of your timeframe. When you do that, your commentary and/or your interpretation window should update to reflect that time. Here is a short video of my screen showing this. I hope this helps.....someone else may have a better explanation.

Thanks a lot! Using Interpretation window will do the job for me. Maybe I can find out how to do it with Guru Chart Commentary later. My problem with Commentary is that when I use Select and click on a candle, it is not updating. I must press "Apply" in Commentary window to get it updated. When I use Interpretation it is updating by clicking on the candle and it is also updating when I move the blue line with the arrow keys on my keyboard.

In the past something like 15 years ago (when there was no "Interpretation" window), commentary was updated when you changed the selected date on selected chart and also displayed arrows. Since then, Interpretation window has been added that supersedes functionality of commentary window and allows you to have multiple commentaries (a commentary for every formula/chart pane), color text output, etc. Arrows on the other hand can now be displayed using PlotShapes.
Commentary window is left solely for backward compatibility reasons and to run quick formula (some KB examples tell you to run in commentary window for sake of simplicity). The update only happens when you click "Apply" and this is by design (as Interpretation window now taken its previous role). Commentary window is depreciated as it is global and you can't have more than one global commentary.

So by all means, use Interpretation window.

Thanks Tomasz,
I just came back from the past ;0) ... trying to catch up. It was about 15 years ago I actively used Amibroker and AFL. There has been great improvements and development.
