I did not find any info on the following.
Is the Yahoo basic fundamental data download disabled by yahoo ?
When I try to download Yahoo basic fundamental data with amiquote 3.15 the status is: Failed
Although, Yahoo extra fundamental data downloads ok.
Moderator comment: advice given here is plain wrong. Don’t do this!
As a follow up to my recent inquiry about the download of yahoo fundamental data - basic. I believe this is the format file which can be found in the amibroker / formats folder as : aqfn
I opened the format file with Notepad.

$FORMAT TICKER,FULLNAME,CLOSE, EPS, EPS_EST_CUR_YEAR, EPS_EST_NEXT_YEAR, EPS_EST_NEXT_QTR, PEG_RATIO, BOOK_VALUE_PER_SHARE, EBITDA, SKIP, REVENUE, SKIP, DIV_PAY_DATE, EX_DIV_DATE, DIVIDEND, ONE_YEAR_TARGET, SKIP, SHARES_FLOAT, SHARES_OUT
After opening and viewing the format I removed : CLOSE ,
Which resulted in the following format definition below.
$NOQUOTES 1
$AUTOADD 1
$OVERWRITE 1
$SEPARATOR ,
$FORMAT TICKER,FULLNAME, EPS, EPS_EST_CUR_YEAR, EPS_EST_NEXT_YEAR, EPS_EST_NEXT_QTR, PEG_RATIO, BOOK_VALUE_PER_SHARE, EBITDA, SKIP, REVENUE, SKIP, DIV_PAY_DATE, EX_DIV_DATE, DIVIDEND, ONE_YEAR_TARGET, SKIP, SHARES_FLOAT, SHARES_OUT
I then saved the format file. Opened amiquote and selected yahoo fundamental - basic ( basic fundamental data for stocks), Marked all , clicked on start download and everything proceeded and completed and imported.
Maybe this will help others having same issue.

If you remove random column from format file all data will be misplaced (put in wrong fields). You will end up with all data mixed up (such as price going into EPS field) and simply wrong.
The Close field SHOULD be 3rd in a row in format definition as it is present in the downloaded data, see:
"MSFT","Microsoft Corporation", 68.93 ,2.27,3.03,3.32,0.78,2.42,9.03,28.80B,6.06,87.25B,1.71,"9/14/2017","5/16/2017",1.56,74.73,532.18B,7549350000,7720M
After your modification you would get 68.93 landing into "EPS" field instead of correct 2.27.
I just checked for MSFT and Yahoo Fundamental Basic works JUST FINE with original format definition file.
So once again: do NOT touch original files that come with AmiBroker / AmiQuote unless being told to do so.
Thanks Tomasz for the heads up…So I opened the format file and re-inserted the Close field in the 3rd column position, saved the format
file, opened amiquote and downloaded yahoo basic fundamental data and this time it succeded.
Not sure why is was failing prevously.
Our installs never damage anything. AmiQuote 3.15 is required to solve recent Yahoo changes.
I am trying to download fundamental data from Yahoo Fundamental Extra New. For some of the scripts, the data is not correct like HAL.NS, seems to be shifting by one column. Could you please help me out with this as what needs to be checked and how to correct it? Thanks.
